The key elements:
- testable - It is possible to try and determine if the statement is true or false by observation.
- specific - The nature of the expected relationship is clearly stated.
- expected - The statement is theoretically justifiable (i.e. one would have a plausible reason to expect the stated relationship).
A good hypothesis is also one that is generally applicable (i.e. it doesn't apply to just one case).
